Rapper Nas, and his “Milkshake” wife Kelis, dropped by to plug his controversial album, which hits stores on April 22. The album’s provocative title is the N-word.
The 34-year-old rapper, who is black, said he is cool with the controversy, and added that he wanted to stimulate some dialogue on the subject of race. His wife pointed out that music is their forum, and it was entirely appropriate for her husband to address this issue in his music.
Oh, by the way, the couple gave a definite thumbs-down to a proposed reality show based on their life together.
“We saw the first episode,” Nas said, “and it was boring. So we said no.”
